- What is the advantage of making PCBs and solder paste stencils together at one place?If you are making solder paste stencil elsewhere, upon your request, we will require to supply panelized gerber data every time you place PCB order. Once those data is with the stencil maker, they need to import into their CAM system for further process. Now, not all PCB and/or stencil manufacturer use same CAM softwares so it may possible that the data could be manipulated while exporting / importing. Since other stencil manufacturers have no idea about PCB design, they may not be able to identify any obvious design problem.
Also, knowing your PCB design, we can do pad reduction quite effectively, if require. We can also identify possible assembly problems and suggest solutions while preparing data for stencil making. - What different types of solder paste stencils do you make?We can manufacturer "Chemically-etched brass stencils" (for low volume production) and "Electropolished Laser Cut Stainless Steel Stencils" (for fine pitch assembly and medium to high volume production) for all your PCB assembly requirement. PCB Design Tips
When designing a PCB, try to limit
the amount of draws you use.
Draws use a lot of memory and slows the programming time. Ex.: Use a flash for pads instead of draws. If for some reason we need to increase or decrease that pad size, it can easily be done by changing the D-code but if they are done with draws it could be a nightmare.
